Specify Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to improve the
sustainability of your build and reduce construction costs through
fast track construction and reducing weight
Reduce Build Costs
As a lightweight solution building costs are reduced due to a particularly fast erection time and no need for heavy lifting equipment on site. Great savings are made on labour and crane costs, whilst delivering a warm and comfortable building that is very easy and very economical to heat.
SIP Energy panels are particularly airtight. This airtightness allows you to include aerothermal and passive solar design features in your design. Airtightness also brings other great benefits: they lock out draughts, they bring excellent acoustic properties to the building, and as a result SIP Energy buildings are inherently very quiet.
Insulation: SIP Energy panels have excellent insulation properties. The core of rigid XPS insulation will not sag, slump, nor the u-value degrade, over time. SIP Energy panels are available in a variety of panel thickness’ to suit your requirements.
Building Specification Control
SIP Energy panels are pre-engineered, manufactured off site to exacting quality standards, and transported, ready for erection, to site. This ensures the build goes up quickly and accurately, and delivering an efficient building in the most effective way.
Clad in Brick or Stone
Despite the innovative energy efficient build and rapid build time that SIPs provides the building can be clad in a wide variety of finishes, including brick and stone cladding that will provide the look of a traditional build and blend in to local planning requirements as specified.
As well as cladding in brick or stone, a SIP building can also be finished in any cladding system to hang any external walling solution such as render, aluminium panelling, steel, or timber.
What are SIP Panels?
SIP panels are an inner core of high performance structural-grade XPS insulation sandwiched between outer layers of oriented strand board timber (OSB), to create one single, insulated, airtight panel, for use as either a wall or roof.
What Buildings are SIP Panels Suitable For?
Popular with housing, SIP panels are now used extensively for any type of building requiring cost and energy efficiency in terms of both fast track build times and sustainability.
How do SIP Panels Help to Reduce Build Costs?
A SIP panel structure enables an extremely fast track construction on site, reducing labour costs.
Its lightweight nature also allows for lower costs of erection on site, ie, no need for cranes and other expensive equipment associated with many other building structures and methods.
